Barricade Fire Blocking Gel
The New Exposure Protection Technology
It does what you wanted class A foam to do, give a long lasting firebreak to defend exposures from radiant heat, flying brands and direct
flame impingement. Barricade is composed of water-filled gel
bubblets, not air-filled. These bubblets layer themselves on an
exposure and are effective for many hours - not minutes! When the gel
does dry much later after application, it can be rehydrated
to again give complete protection to the exposure.

firefighters and homeowners.
Testing Has Been Thorough
Barricade Gel is an evironmentally friendly product, safe to use in a greatvariety of threatening situations. As for actual fire testing:
* A gel-coated shed 5' from an involved house fire survived with no damage.
* Two Christmas trees, one gelled, were attacked by an LP torch. No damage to the gelled tree. The other was fully involved in under 15 seconds.
* A Barricade coating was applied to a residence by the homeowner using a garden hose in extreme heat conditions. It was effective for many hours.

On Site Preparation
It couldn't be more simple. Barricade concentrate, when mixed with water,
allows hydration to occur. A gel solution is then produced. The application
of the gel uses specialized techniques with standard fire department
equipment. And since the gel can hold hundreds of times its weight with
water, it will maintain itself as a water-filled bubblet hours longer than
will an air-filled class A foam bubble. Barricade can also coat an already
burning surface to impede the production of flammable vapors.
